July 27th/28th saw the club members operating 'field day' style within the new club marquee, purchased to a large extent by the generous donations of club members, with the remainder paid for from club funds.
One VHF(2m) Station and two HF stations were in use over most of the weekend with many QSOs in the log. On the Sunday Ted G3XUX ran his regular 4m Net from his Land-Rover, and then operated one of the HF rigs. Courtesy of Geoff G4XMJ, who cooked in the rain, we had a BBQ on the Saturday evening.
Thanks to all those club members who supported the event, especially those who helped with the marquee and antennas. We plan to repeat the event in due course.
