Congratulations to Paul M6ASV on passing the Intermediate Examination yesterday at the club Examination Centre on Hayling Island.

FPARC Member Scott M3SVB allocated Falkland Islands Callsign.

Scott has been allocated the callsign VP8DOF/MM and will be operating most days 20m through 10m Maritime Mobile off of HMS Protector where he is Radio Operator. He is using a vertical SteppIR antenna at 150 watts.

HMS Protector is a leased vessel, and Scott returns from the South Atlantic on the 9th January 2013.

Please listen out for Scott and make that VP8 QSO if you can.

Fort Purbrook ARC wishes to congratulate Mike Smith and Alastair Kerr on passing the Foundation Examination on Tuesday 6th November 2012, held at the Fort, and subsequently gaining their M6 calls.

We look forward to hearing both Mike M6MSM and Alastair M6DCY on the air soon.

FPARC News: Fri 3rd Feb 2012

FPARC Foundation Licence Training Course

We are pleased to announce that the FPARC is anticipating the running of a training course for those wishing to sit the Foundation Licence Examination.

The course is scheduled to commence on Monday 13th February starting at 7.00pm. The venue for this is located on Hayling Island. Training will be provided by Gerry G3COO and Gary G3TMG.

The course fee is £20 payable to the FPARC, and to sit the examination a fee of £27.50 is payable to the RSGB. If you would like to participate in this training course, please contact the Examination Secretary, Neil Hoare 2E0CEU via e-mail at 2e0ceu@fparc.org.uk.
